It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Guerequeta announces her passing on January 24, 2019, in Saskatoon, SK. Barbara was born one of nine children to Ike and Christel Gerstner on July 22, 1959, in Regina SK. On May 13th, 1989 Barb married the love of her life Juan Maria Guerequeta and began their life together and to their union, two boys were raised. Barb worked at Osborne School, East End Rink, and most important The Venice House where she met Juan.  She loved to relax and expand her vocabulary by doing word search puzzles, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and being a hockey mom when the boys were growing up.  Barb also became a foster mom for foster children.  Barb “Barbie Girl” was a self-proclaimed control freak, bossy and had no problem telling it like it is. Barb lost her husband Juan in 2012 and now they are once again together.

 

Barb will forever be remembered and missed by her mother Christal,her children: Marcos (Nicole), Nicolas (Danica, Nash); siblings: Vera (Ken), Rita (Archie), Reiner (Corinne), Diana (Wayne), Norman (Janice), Sandra, Alvis (Brenda), Lisa. friends: Tanny and Patty and her dog Raz

The Family would like to thank everyone at The Keedwell Assisted Living Center for all of their care and compassion.

 A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th St. W Prince Albert, SK. Pastor Dennis Serfas will be officiating. Those wanting to make a donation in Barbs name please send to The Canadian Cancer Society.
