Clifford Maurice Swenson passed away peacefully on July 24, 2018 at St. Ann’s Nursing Home in Saskatoon.

Cliff was born in Birch Hills on June 9, 1920.  He farmed with his family until he was called to serve in the army.

In 1943, he married Myrtle Gjesdal, went back to farming and started their family.  Clifford believed in hard work, strong family values, strong community connections and living a strong faith based life.

Clifford is predeceased by his parents: Sevrin and Nora; his siblings: Lillian, Inez, Leslie, Harvey, Stanley and Vernon and granddaughter Hillary Swenson.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, of 74 years; his sister Lorraine (Jack) Diesen; sister-in-law Ruby Swenson; son Donald (Lorie) Swenson; daughter Barbara (Lisle) McCallum; grandchildren Lisa (Kelly) Labrash, Stephanie (Jeff) Kohl, Erica Swenson, Gordon (Shayla) McCallum and Caroline (Landon) Leclair, and ten great grandchildren.

We are greatful for the care and loving attention offered to Clifford at St. Ann’s Nursing Home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Saskatoon.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be given to Kinasao Lutheran Bible Camp, Box 327, Christopher Lake, Sk.  S0J 0N0
