Denis Wright
January 31, 1947 – October 24, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Denis Wright on Thursday, October 24th, 2019, at the Victoria hospital in Prince Albert. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, and Friend to many.
Denis was a piece worker for the Prince Albert pulp mill for many years leading up to an accident in 1989. After this he enjoyed helping friends with farming and odd jobs. He spent time gardening, canning and enjoyed watching curling. He loved spending time hunting, fishing, playing cribbage and socializing with friends and family. He developed a passion for baking bread and pies, and in the last few years supplied many friends and family with the resulting products.
Denis leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 46 years Beatrice; his children Corwin (Sharie Bird), Nicole Whalley, and Chelsey; his son-in-law Mike Whalley; his grandchildren Bryanna, Lukas, and Alyssa Whalley; his twin sister Margaret (Mike) Maier; his sister Maureen (Ron Casavant); his brother Wayne; 7 brothers-in-law; 8 sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and many close friends. He is predeceased by his parents Jim and Mary Wright; parents-in-law Hubert and Lucille Gareau; his brother and sister-in-law Brian and Bertha Wright.
The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria hospital for their care and compassion for his last few days. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
