It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Taylor at the age of 92 years. Eileen passed away peacefully on November 9, 2019.

Eileen will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Brenda and Shannon (Rem); sons Jim (Debbie) and Glen (Debbie); grandchildren Michelle (Ryan), Vince, Amber (Adam), and Kyle; and great grandchildren Alaina and Asher. She will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Marilyn Taylor, Jeanne Marshall; nephews and their families as well as many other close friends that have shared in her life throughout the years.

Eileen was predeceased by her husband Alan; parents Fred and Olive; sisters Marjorie and Florence; brothers-in-law Jiggs White, Len Marshall, Bill Mann, George McCulloch, and Bob Taylor; and sister-in-law Marie Mann.

Eileen was born to Fred and Olive Crook in Vancouver, BC and was the youngest of three girls. Her family moved to Wartime, SK at an early age. She attended school in Wartime and after graduating from high school she moved to Outlook, SK where she worked for some time as a telephone operator. It was there she met Alan. Eileen and Alan were married in Havre, Montana. Eileen gave birth to Brenda and Jim in Outlook, SK and then the family moved to Prince Albert, SK where Glen and Shannon were born. 

Among Eileen’s greatest achievements, she was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She was an amazing mother, grandma and great grandma. She had a wonderful and unique sense of humor.

Eileen loved her trips to Maple Creek, SK and to Alberta to spend time with family. Many special memories were made.

Eileen loved to bake and won superb status ribbons for shortbread and buns entries in the Prince Albert Exhibition. She was an avid bowler and bowled in the Friday afternoon bowling league for many years.

Eileen moved into the Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert, SK in March 2017 where she resided until her passing.

The family would like to thank the staff at her home on Golden Hill for the wonderful care they provided Eileen while she was part of their family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28 Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating.   Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens following the Service.
