Elsie Brown (nee Szeman)

May 22, 1930 – March 10, 2019

 

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Elsie Brown at the age of 88 years.  Elsie will be missed and remembered by her children: Shirley (Gary) Taylor, Lyla Brown, Lester (Pam) Brown, Valerie (Len) Thorpe, Darwin (Linda) Brown, Heather (Byron) Guy, Warren (Audrey) Brown and Sheldon Brown; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her sister and brothers and numerous family and friends.  Elsie was predeceased by her parents Frank and Rose Szeman; her husband Fred Brown and her sister Margaret (Joseph) Bulka.  Elsie’s generosity and hospitality, her pride in her family and heritage and her love of reading and knowledge will always be remembered.  The family wishes to thank the staff at River Breeze Retirement and Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion.  A private memorial and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to Senior’s Transportation, 101 – 15th Street West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 3P7.
