Fabian Chartier passed away peacefully on Sunday December 3, 2017 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Fabian was the 6th youngest of 11 children having seven brothers and three sisters. His work and career moved him all over from province to province, where he would end up in Grande Prairie for 15 years. Fabian was a bricklayer by trade and was very passionate of his work and was a perfectionist. He worked on really big projects, million dollar houses. His passion was working with stone, whether it was big fireplaces or houses, he was very passionate and it had to be with perfection or he would redo his work. Fabian was a gold seal bricklayer and stone master which is the highest seal a tradesman can achieve in that line of work. He also had tickets in operating articulated 40-ton rock trucks and had operated in his younger years, 100-ton rock trucks up north. He was a very skilled big rig operator. As a pass time his hobby was to build miniature log cabins, and wishing wells, which he gave as gifts to family members. Fabian is survived by his siblings: Alphonse and his children Patricia, Margaret, Cyril (Kim) and their mother Irene; Maria (Don) Badrock, and family Wanita and her children Kara (Nathen) and Terrance (Brittany), David (Shari) Duce and Don’s children Darren (Kate) and Brent (Dawne); Arthur and his children Christien, Martin (Zita) and step-children Angie and Lori (Matt) and daughter Marlo and their mother Helen; Regis; Armand; Camille (Wendy) and children Adam and Amy; Dolores (Marcel) Laitres and his children Deanna (Graham) and family Cody, Kyla; Donna (Tom) and family Brandon and Cassidy; Boniface; Laurier; Rose Marie (Ron) Nicholas and children Julie and Chantal and numerous nieces and nephews.
