November 6, 1954 – September 5, 2018
Forrest Gregor Lawrie passed away September 5th, 2018 after a short battle with cancer with family lovingly by his side at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Forrest was born November 6th, 1954 in Prince Albert, SK. Forrest is sadly and lovingly remembered by his son Russell (Angela), his daughter Jamie and his grandchildren: Damian, Ryley and Logan, his mother Joyce and his brother George, his sister Janice (and her family), and numerous extended family. Forrest is predeceased by his wife Dianne and his father James. Forrest moved to Edmonton after high school and took his mechanics. He then later moved to Prince George where he met his wife, Dianne, and eventually had their son. After a couple of years, Forrest and family decided to move back to Saskatchewan and settle just north of Holbein, SK where they would have their daughter. At this time Forrest settled into the farm, raising the children, and eventually would become a delegate for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and would become involved in politics. Forrest’s life revolved around working, spending time with all of his family near and far, helping people in any way he could and he loved spending time on the water whether he was boating or waterskiing. A Celebration of Forrest’s Life will be held graveside at Wildrose Cemetery, Holbein, SK. on Saturday October 20, 2018 – 2:00 pm with lunch to follow at Wildrose School.
