GARRY BOURQUE

The passing of Garry Joseph Bourque of Candle Lake, SK. occurred on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Palliative Care Unit in Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Garry is lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda; his son, Aaron (Nadine) Bourque, and their children, Gabby and Josh; predeceased son Chris (Gwen) and their children Victoria and Mackenzie and his brothers and sisters, Roseanne (Ivan), Monty (Brenda), Pat (Chris), Tammy (Jerry), Annette (Brian), Shannon (Dale) and Michael; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his son Chris, his parents, Leonard and Vi Bourque. Garry graduated from Ed Feehan High School and did a short stint at the railway. He then worked at P.A Bottlers. This is where he met his wife Brenda who he was married to for 44 years. Brenda and Garry moved to Calgary, then to Saskatoon where they raised their two sons. Garry worked at Akzo Nobel for 30 years. Later in life they moved to Candle Lake. Garry loved to fish with his dad and son Chris, and loved pulling Aaron and his friends around the lake in the tube. Gary loved golfing, playing slow pitch and having a few drinks with the boys. He also loved camping, downhill skiing and water skiing. He also enjoyed watching and coaching his kids in hockey and ball. Then came along his beloved grandkids Victoria, Mackenzie, Gabrielle and Joshua. He liked teaching them his love of all these activities as well as BB guns and crib and card games. We will miss his spaghetti and science experiments and the “Dickie Birds”. The Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:30 am at Candle Lake Community Hall, and the Interment will be in the spring at Otter Rapids. Garry will be sadly missed by all. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Victoria Hospital, 1200 24 St W, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 4B2.
