BRAHNIUK, Gerald

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Gerald, due to a  heart attack on April 03, 2018.

Gerald  was born on January 17th, 1958 in Prince Albert, Sask to Mary and William Brahniuk.

He worked in the Forestry Program with the Federal Government and most recently with the City of Prince Albert, but was very well known as being a Jack of all Trades.

On February 14, 2004 he met and started a life together with Lois Hackl. Gerald was a caring man who always made himself available, especially to his children and grandchildren, whenever they needed him they came first. He was very proud and loved to take the time to watch the boys play hockey and teach the next generation how to skate.  There is a special bond between mother and son and the love and devotion was very apparent between Gerald and his mother.  He could always be found with a smile on his face, a corny joke to tell and a very positive outlook on life, as anyone who knew him would attest.  Gerald loved fishing, watching curling, gardening, music that would get him dancing with Lois and working outside on the acreage. 

April 03, 2018 Gerald passed away at the age of 60 and he will be forever missed by his partner: Lois Hackl; children: Ashley (Adam) Kerley, Avery, Annika, Ashton; Jamie (Vanessa) Brahniuk, Brooklyn, Kashton, Greyson; Jason (Hillary) Brahniuk, Emma; mother: Mary Brahniuk; step children: Robert (Lucy) Warren, Merila, Mason, Zachery, Zoey; Dean (Simone) Warren, Keenen (Emma), Christopher, Ethen, Kya; Chris (Brittany) Warren, Kaden, Reeve; siblings: Debbie (Gerry) Potter; Rick (Janice) Brahniuk; Fred (Cory) Brahniuk; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Gerald is predeceased by his father: William Brahniuk

Private Family Services will be held at a later date.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
