Gilbert Arthur Sanderson was born on Sunday, March 10, 1929, in La Ronge, SK, and passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, in La Ronge, SK, at the age of 90 years. Gilbert is survived by his loving family, his children, Gerald Sanderson (Annie), James Sanderson (Jean), Rose Sanderson, Sophie Sanderson (Tim Prutton), Linda Upstone (Brett), Irene Sanderson, Henry Sanderson (Emily), Bella Sanderson (Ben Halliday); his special son, David Sanderson; his son-in-law, Bill Mahoney; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lizzie (nee Tremblay) Sanderson; his daughter, Ida Mahoney; his grandchildren, Jenny Sanderson and Clayton Ballantyne; his parents, Alfred & Amelia (nee Charles) Sanderson; his brothers, Sandy Sanderson, William Sanderson, Zacheus Sanderson, John Sanderson, Wilson Stanley Sanderson, Wilson Albert Sanderson, George Sanderson, Miles Sanderson; his sisters, Lydia Sanderson and Jane Sanderson; and numerous other relatives. Gilbert’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at All Saints Anglican Church, in La Ronge, SK, Tom Sanderson, Henry Ratt, and James Eninew officiating.
