Helen Doreen Ginter passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert, SK. She was born on April 27, 1932 in Nipawin, SK.  Her father was Henry Schellenberg and her mother’s name was Mary (Schroeder).  She attended the Woodchuck school in the Carrot River, SK area until grade 10.  Helen was employed by the Woolco Department store for 20 years before retiring.  

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her son Ervin (Marie) & their children & grandchildren; her son Lorne (Daryl) & their children; her son Gerry (Corinne) and their children & grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.  

She was predeceased by her parents Henry Schellenberg and Mary Skalicky; her husband Jake Ginter; and her siblings Leonard and Katherine.  

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1351 28th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Chris Neudorf officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made in Helen’s memory to The Gideons International in Canada, 416 – 325 Keevil Crescent, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4R8 or the Herb Bassett Home, 1220 25 Street West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 7P7. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Dale Ardell and the staff at the Herb Bassett Home for the excellent care of Helen.
