Frank Horace Highway was born on Monday, November 3, 1952 in Pelican Narrows, SK, and passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Flin Flon, MB, at the age of 65 years. Horace is survived by his loving family: his loving and devoted wife, Susan Ballantyne-Highway; his daughters, Helen (Anson) Ballantyne, Alvina (Walter) McKenzie, and Mary Jean (Trent) Dorion; his son, Warner (Flora) Ballantyne; his adopted daughter, Sheryl (Robert) Beatty; his step-children, Keith (Sauna), Terry (Rhoda), Trevor (Kayla), Cameron, Pauline, and Holly; his 18 grandchildren and 6 chapans; his father, Adam Highway; his sisters, Margaret Descalchuk, Joan (Thomas) Custer, Joyce Jobb, Victoria (Clifford) Ballantyne, Georgina (Ronnie) Highway, Marlene (Russell) Powder, Isabella (Phillip) Bighetty, Vivian Highway, Bernadette (Alphanie) Clark, Madeline Merasty, Elizabeth (Larry) Custer, Karen (Steve) Highway, and Margie (Floyd) Highway; his brothers, Harold Highway, Ivan Highway, Adam Jr. Highway, Bobby, and Terry Custer; his adopted brothers, Darren Highway and Calvin (Debra) Highway; his adopted sister, Marcella Highway; his in-laws, Stanley Ballantyne, Albert (Ida) Ballantyne, David (Sharon) Ballantyne, Rebecca (Gordon) McCallum, Theresa Ballantyne, Maggie Ballantyne, Sally (Nathan) Ballantyne, Maryann (Ken) McCallum, Julie (William) McLeod, Harry Custer, Ernest Custer, Kate McKay, and Susan Ann Ballantyne; and all his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Marie Highway (nee Natewayes); his in-laws, David & Ida Ballantyne; his grandparents, Jeannie Morin-Natewayes (nee Custer), Joseph Iroquois, Joe Highway, and Josephine Highway; his nephews, Elmer, Glenn Jobb, Philip Nighttraveller, and Baby Peanut Highway; his nieces, Candace Roberts and Crystal Nighttraveller; his grandsons, Dylan Ballantyne and Darren Custer; his stepdaughter, Trisha Ballantyne; his sister, Delphina Highway; his brother-in-law, Leo Jobb; his uncles, Baptist Highway, Joe (Palagi) Highway, William (Maggie) Highway, and Eli (Marie) Highway; his aunties Anne (Arthur) McCallum, Margaret (Don) Michel, and Rosalie (Phillip) Merasty. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 in St. Peter`s Anglican Church, Deschambault Lake, SK, Reverend Elias Ballantyne and Father Joseph Subhash will be presiding over the service.
