John Anthony Ross was born on Thursday, October 28, 1954 in La Ronge, SK and passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in La Ronge, SK at the age of 63 years. John Anthony is survived by his loving family: his children, Jennifer Ross (Charlie Venne), Robert Ross, Anthony Ross and Daisy Halkett (Alec); his adopted daughter, Rosie Ross; his grandchildren, Travis, Loretta, Jimmy John, Sarah, Caitlyn, Deedee, Charlene, Robert Jr., Roxanne, Drayden, Ryan, Dean, Quintin, Love, Shayna, Callie and Blaine; his great-grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Roberta Ross, Caroline Ross, Eliza Charles (Adam), Kitchener Ross (Selina) and Malcolm Ross; the mother of his children, Amelia Scharkowski; and his aunts, Freda Ross, Charlotte Ross and Grace Ross; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack & Elizabeth Ross; his children, Victor and Anita; his brothers, Jimmy and Joseph; his sisters, Dorothy and twin sisters (in infancy); his daughter-in-law, Jordona McKenzie; and his brother-in-law, Jeremiah Ross. A wake service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Kitsaki Hall in La Ronge, SK, and continued at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Charlie Halkett Memorial Band Hall in Hall Lake, SK. John Anthony’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Archdeacon McKay Anglican Church in Hall Lake, SK, Tom Sanderson and Edna Mirasty officiating, as well as student minister, Jordan Draper.
