John STEFANSKI

1954 – 2018

It is with heavy hearts the family of John Larry Stefanski announce his passing on December 23, 2018, around 11:00 a.m. in Thailand, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 64.

John was born in Prince Albert on November 29, 1954, and was welcomed into this world by his father and mother Stanley and Stella Stefanski.  John loved his job as a millwright which he worked for 40+ years.  He was a hard worker and he loved hunting and fishing and farming in both Canada and Thailand.  He was a great friend, was kind and caring and was always giving what he could.  He had an amazing sense of humour and loved spending time with his children and family.  He also loved to cook and try new things.

John is survived by his beloved sons Jason Stefanski and Justin (Kelly) Stefanski and his beloved daughter Jaylynn Stefanski: his mother Stella Stefanski; his brothers Ed, Bob (Elaine), Terry (Elizabeth); and sisters Tracey (Mike) Prystupa and Rita.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Kimberly, Jeff, Chad, Donavon Stefanski, Nicolas, and Natasha Prystupa. He will be sadly missed by his family in Thailand — his loving partner Prisana Ponsim; her mother Hnookria; her brother Wichai Siriran (Wassana) and their children Forgot and Joy; and many of his friends.

John was predeceased by his father Stanley Stefanski; his brother Pat; and nephew Jason Stefanski.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, Calvary United Church 114- 25th St. E Prince Albert, SK.  In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations in his name can be made to the Cancer Clinic at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK.
