“Babe” Kathleen CORRIGAL

October 29, 1923 – February 26, 2019

“Babe” Kathleen Corrigal passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Mont St. Joseph Home.  Babe was born on October 29, 1923 and will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Faye Flaminio and Donna Flamminio (Tony); her grandchildren Anna (Daniel) Flaminio, Chella (Kevin) Krawec, Jayson (Teresa) Headrick and Giovanni Flamminio (Chelsea), and great-grandchildren Cruz, Vincenza, Thomas, Lauren and Milana; as well as her many nieces and nephews.  Babe was predeceased by her husband Cec Corrigal in 2013; her sister Helen Logue in 2004 and her parents Nellie (nee Byrne) and William Pirie.  Babe was a sweet, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Babe loved to cook and enjoyed cooking for her family often with food from her huge garden which she took pride in. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family.  In early years, Babe worked at Burns and then changed to egg candling with many fun memories of the Dairy Pool “egg house”.  Her love for collecting antiques drew her to open an Antique shop, Babe’s Flea Mart, which later became Babe’s Bath and Baskets.  Many friends and caregivers spoke of Babe as an amazing lady full of spunk, love, kindness inside and out.  She loved music family and children.  She was “one of a kind”.  The family feels truly blessed that mom was able to spend her last years at Mont St. Joseph Home and wish to sincerely thank the staff for their above and beyond love, compassion and care. The family requests in lieu of other donations in memory of Babe may be made to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation, 777 28th St E, Prince Albert, SK.  Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
