It is with great sadness that the family of Kirk Yaremko announce his passing on August 5, 2018.
Kirk was born on October 9th, 1964 to Lawrence and Geraldine Yaremko in Norquay, Sk. The family resided in Esterhazy, Saskatoon and finally called Prince Albert home in 1974.
As a kid, Kirk was known as being a bit of a daredevil and for loving sports especially hockey. As years passed weekends spent in the rink turned into weekends at the cabin and a love for the outdoors grew. Kirk’s favorite place was spending time at the family Cabin at Whelan Bay. He enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. Most of his career was spent with Weyerhaeuser and often you would find him doing some type of construction or shingling job on his time off. After the mill closure, Kirk obtained his class 1A and drove for different companies until a work-related injury took him off the job causing the start of his health issues.
Kirk’s greatest love was family, often having everyone over to cook up a bbq feast or make his famous homemade pizza for a movie night with his kids. Kirk was a very proud father and friend to his children. Kirk’s happiest times were spent with his kids, spoiling, his grandson and nieces. Often, he could be found baking cookies with the kids or puff wheat cake and sneaking them off to get treats. Kirk also had to spoil and pamper all the family pets. His kind heart and gentle well-mannered way will be missed.
Kirk was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Yaremko, grandparents, Marian and Vonda Grywacheski, William and Katie Yaremko, numerous aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Lawrence Yaremko. Kirk’s children, Madson and Raelynn Yaremko, Rebecca and her son Chevy, Courtney and her son Jayden. grandson Tyrone Yaremko who Kirk helped Lawrence and Geraldine raise.
