Lucille Cousin

Lucille Cousin, past away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on April 29, 2018 at the age of 94. Lucille was born at home in Vonda, SK on June 17, 1923, to Anaise (nee Agarand) and Philip Roy. She married Pierre Cousin on March 8th, 1943 and together they farmed in the Bellevue district for 50 years. Lucille leaves to mourn: her daughter Evelyn (Alain) Gaudet of Bellevue and their son Keith (Joanne Nallou) of Hoey; their family Krysta (Chris) Little, and their children, Locklin, and Noella, Melissa (Jarred) Potter, of Hoey, SK, and their children Greame, and Gavin, Kurtis (Lauren) of Hoey; Janine (Mark) Bussiere of Hoey, SK, and their family Chantalle (Lucas Ringwal) and Joel; Terence (Kathy Gareau) of Domremy SK, and their family Joshua and Nathan; her daughter Florence (Claude) Gareau of Saskatoon, and their family, Gwen (Guillaume Giouard), of Oakville, Ont, Shannon (Ramey) Rooke and their family, Tyler, Austin, Chase and Evan of Kelowna, BC; Ryan, and his family Amelia and Finn of Kelowna, BC; her son, Raymond (Irene Fauchoux) of Hoey, and their daughter Krista, (Dave Spence) of Saskatoon, and daughters, Anna King Cousin, Ivy, and Isabella. Her son, Marc (Doris Duval) and their children, Daryl (Sharlene Gareau) of St Louis, and their family Gregory, Ian and Bridgette; their daughter, Laurel (Tyler) Dobell, of Calgary, Alta, and their family, Gracin and Emery; and Kurtis of Regina, her son Gilles (Lucille Gaudet) and their family, Shelly (Mark Morrical) of Grand Prairie Alberta, and their family, Zoe and Lucas; Dale (Whitney Block) of Alvena, and their family, Sawyer and Gabriel, Wyatt and Cara, their daughter Faye (Kirk) Urick, of Prudomme, and their family, Matthew, Sara and Samantha: their daughter, Bonnie (Steve Wehner) and their children, Blake and Heidi of Watson, SK, her sisters-in-law, Dianne Roy and Cecile Cousin: as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille was predeceased by: her husband, Pierre (of 57 years), her infant son Arsene, her parents, Anaise (nee Agarand) and Philip Roy; her brothers, Roger and Clement, and her sister-in-law Florence (Gareau), her grand-children, Jennifer, Patrick and Timothy Cousin. And all of her brothers-in-law Cousin and her two sisters-in-law Cousin. Lucille was a kind, generous and hard working person, who loved to socialize and feed everyone who came to visit. Throughout her life, she strived to educate herself, and she was not afraid to tackle anything. Over the years, she managed to get her GED, was a founding member of the Home Care Program in the Wakaw, Cudworth District, travelled to Martinique to attend meetings for L’Association Franco phone Canadienne, had a huge garden and raised turkeys, a thousand at a time. Through all, she managed to raise 5 children, feed a menagerie of animals also take care of her grandchildren, and anyone in the family who needed child care. One of the greatest joys in her life was rocking babies and toddlers. She was an amazing woman and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
