Edward Bachur

August 11, 1936 ~ May 3, 2019

Mr. Edward Bachur joined the love of his life on Friday, May 3, 2019.  

Edward was born on August 11, 1936 to Frank and Elizabeth Bachur.  He met the love of his life Doreen Hummerstone and they were married September 10, 1960.  To this union, 3 beautiful daughters were added to the family: Cindy, Mandy and Melanie.  Edward enjoyed working with his hands, from farming to construction to working for the R.M. of Buckland.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and getting together with friends and neighbours.  But what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family. 

Edward’s memory will forever remembered by his daughter Cindy (Kenny) Rasmussen and their children Bradley (Noreen) Rasmussen, Clayton Rasmussen and Sarah Rasmussen (Blaine Flamont); his daughter Mandy Bachur (Derek Sulewski); his daughter Melanie Kawula and her children Blake Kawula and Emma Kawula; his great-grandchildren Zan Rasmussen, Leland Rasmussen, Aiden Rasmussen, Abby Rondeau and Brock Flamont; his siblings Wanda Vickaryous, Frank (Stella) Bachur and Anthony Bachur. 

Edward was predeceased by his wife Doreen (nee Hummerstone); his parents Frank and Elizebeth Bachur; his sister and brother-in-law Nelly and Bill Billay; his sister Jessie Wasylak; his brother-in-law Jim Vickaryous; and his niece Kim Vickaryous. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Parish, Albertville, SK with Father Jim Kaptein presiding.  Interment will follow at Honeymoon Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his wife Doreen.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
