The Family of Muriel Bedard would like to let everyone know that Muriel passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 15th/2018 (83) at 8:20 am at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK.
Muriel was born in 1935 in St. Boniface, Mb. She worked at the Winnipeg Free Press where she met Howard Lee, with him she mothered three children, David, Kim, & Debbie. They moved to Weyburn, SK where she worked with Schlumberger as a dispatcher. During this time, she divorced Howard. She met Alvin Branning with whom she had another daughter, Susan. Muriel moved around a lot in her life. She enjoyed working in care homes for the disabled, mentally challenged, and the elderly. She worked for the George Boyak nursing home in Calgary, AB. She then decided to come back to Saskatchewan, settling in Prince Albert in 1985. She worked for North Park Center until it’s closure. She then finished her working career at Pineview Terrace Lodge retiring in the year 2000. She then became a care aide for Prince Albert home care and worked with some lovely elderly clients until her mid-seventies. Since Muriel’s retirement, she has met some amazingly wonderful friends and neighbors, who have helped her in so many ways. It was a comfort to know that we never had to worry about her here in Prince Albert. Someone was always looking out for her here. Her family would like to say thank you so much to her friends and neighbors, as well the Nursing and Dr staff at the Victoria Hospital who took care of her until her final moments.
She is predeceased by her Loving Son: Kim Richard Lee on January 22/1991.
She is survived by her son: David Howard Lee of Olds, AB. Her daughters: Deborah Joan Lee of Edmonton, AB and Susan (Leonard) Sawicki of Asquith, SK.
Her grandchildren: Rick Alvin Leonard Sawicki, Kerry Kenneth David Sawicki, Christopher Kelvin Lee, Meagan Michelle Fullerton Lee, Mandy Elizabeth Fullerton Lee, Zack David Fullerton Lee, & Rachelle Nicole Fullerton Lee.
