December 2, 1926 – June 7, 2018
Mom was born December 2, 1926 in Amazon, Saskatchewan to Russell and Mary Mackie. Her Hometown was Nokomis, Saskatchewan. She left there in October 1940 to go work for a teacher Miss Rose McCall at Kronau. She then came to Melfort, where she met Dad, Peter Works in the summer of 1947. They married November 22, 1947 and settled in the small town of Weldon. To this union 9 children were born. Mom was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1985; three sons Peter Jr., Allen and William and one daughter Bonnie; and all of her siblings. She is survived by her son Russell, and her daughters Mary Sorensen (Richard) and their children Shannon Huxley (Michael), Jay Sorensen (Amanda) and their children Taylor and Anika; Sharon Works and her son William; Donna Meyers (Donnie) and their children Trevor (Dhang) and their children Dakota, Katana, Adam and Naomi; Bobby Meyers (Deanna) and their son Cason; Pamela Meyers; Connie Works and her daughter Caitlin; And her adopted daughter Jacquie Tayler: Grand-daughters: Ruby; Rachel and her daughters Aaliyah and Brianna (daughter Evangeline); Christine and her son Tyson; Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Melfort Funeral Home.
