Mrs. Patricia Muriel Stieb (nee Bittner) passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on Monday, February 19th, 2018 after a short, but fierce battle with cancer.

Pat (Patsy to family and close friends) was born to Eric and Mary Bittner on October 13, 1948 in Lashburn, SK.  She was the second eldest of five and grew up in Lloydminster, AB.  In 1967, she graduated from the College of Licensed Practical Nursing Program in Edmonton, AB and in 1968, she  married Mervin Stieb.  She spent her life caring for others and particularly enjoyed her time working at Nelson Care Home.

Pat will be forever missed by her husband Mervin; her daughters: Tammy Stieb and Tina Stene (Brad); her grandchildren: Karlina Cadieu, Travis and Brianna Stene; her sister: Kari English (Mark); her brother: Bill Bittner; and great nieces: McKenna and Taylor English.

Pat was predeceased by her parents: Eric and Mary Bittner; her brother: Robert (Bob) Bittner; and her brother: Barry Bittner.

Family was very important to Pat and she cherished family gatherings with her immediate family and Mervin’s siblings and families.  Throughout her life, Pat was known for her fun loving ways, quick wit and great sense of humour.  Even in her final days, she made every attempt to make those around her laugh and found comfort in sharing stories.

The family would like to send a special note of appreciation to Mom’s doctor, the nurses and staff on Level 6 and the Commissionaire’s at the Victoria Union Hospital in Prince Albert, SK.  The care and compassion shown by these wonderful people will forever be appreciated.

 At her request, a small grave side service will be held at a later date.
