Phillip Chenard
1939 ~ 2023

Phil was born September 17, 1939, in Big River, Saskatchewan, to Louis Chenard and Kathleen Smith. Phil was one of five children. He had many adventures throughout his life while he was commercial fishing and trapping in the north, which he called home since 1954. Phil was also a bush pilot, heavy equipment operator, and trucker for commercial logging in B.C. as well as for the mines in northern Saskatchewan.

Phil enjoyed his time hunting, fishing, and wood working. He was quite the handy man to have around. In his later years Phil, could be found enjoying a coffee with his friends explaining what was wrong with the world from local housing issues, to the increasing cost in groceries, to our politicians.

Phil passed Aug 22, 2023, in La Ronge, SK, surrounded by friends and family. Phil was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
