Sarah Begin

Sarah Ann Begin (nee Wilkinson) passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2019, in Birch Hills, SK. John and Ann met working at the Victoria Union hospital and married at the tender age of 50, this was the first marriage for both of them. As they had no children of their own, Ann took it upon herself to babysit half the neighborhood. This started a new chapter for her. In 1991 the twins, Matt and Kristina came into her life and became the grandchildren she never had. After John’s passing in 2006 she moved into the Seuferts home and resided there until 2018, and then moved to the Birch View Lodge. Ann had a love for raising birds and will be remembered by some as the “Bird Lady.” She also enjoyed spending time in her garden and would spend countless hours tending to her flower beds. For all the children she babysat over the years, she would always make their birthdays and Christmas extra special. Around Christmas in her small house she would have more toys there than Zellers, making sure every child would have a gift. She would always have extras just in case she would forget someone, which of course she never did. Sarah leaves to mourn, her brother, David; her sisters-in-law, Mary and Tina; many nieces and nephews and her extended family the Seuferts. She was predeceased by her husband, John; her parents, George Edward and Sarah Ann; her sisters, Alice, Isabelle and Margaret; her brothers, George, John, Leonard, and Bob. In lieu of flowers please bring a Santa’s anonymous gift for a child to the funeral or on your own. The Funeral Service for Sarah will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, Pastor Nora Vedress officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be left at https://www.arbormemorial.ca/riverpark/Obituaries/sarah-begin/41316 .
