Shirley Blais, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on April 18, 2018 at Pineview Terrace at the age of 84 years. Shirley was born in Moose Jaw, SK, on November 2, 1933 to John and Mary Ham. Beginning in 1958 she was a Laboratory Technologist, first at the Holy Family Hospital and later at the Victoria Union Hospital. In 1980 she became a Corrections Worker with the Prince Albert Correctional Centre until her retirement in 1998. Shirley was both an avid water skier and surfer and she took great pride in the many renovations made to the family cabin at Emma Lake, many of which were completed by her own hand. She was never very far away from her beloved Poodles. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by: her son: Robert (Cheryl) and his son Rodney; her daughters: Joan and Paula; and close family members: Margaret and Susan Rubin. She was predeceased by: her parents: John and Mary Ham; her brother; and many canine companions. The family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. T. Banoub and the staff at Pineview Terrace, most especially Dchi and Sister Evelyn for the care and compassion given to their mother. A special thank you to Mr. Hargrave and Joy for their assistance with Mom’s return to Prince Albert. It was Shirley’s request that there be no formal funeral service. Please join the family for a Public Visitation, followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments on Thursday, April 26, 2018 – 7:00 pm at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28th St W, Prince Albert.
