Solomon Colin Ballantyne was born on Monday, September 7, 1936, in Trade Lake, SK, and passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, in Stanley Mission, SK, at the age of 83 years. Solomon is survived by his loving family, his sons, Ben (Cindy) Ballantyne, Jonas (Harriet) Ballantyne, Moses (Margaret) Ballantyne, Marvin Ballantyne, Lester Ballantyne; his daughters, Elizabeth (Martin) Sewap, Caroline (Felix) Merasty, Jemima (Jimmy) Charles, Cora (Jason) Roberts; his grandchildren, Richard, Frances, Thomas, Stan, Dianne, Darnell, Terrance, Jim, Dave, Andy, Helen, Arden, Autumn, Miranda, Lori, Hunter, Darcy, Sekwun, Jayce, and River; his 12 chapans; his in-laws, Maggie (Mel) Neufeld, Florence Bonaise, Bella (Myles) Hardlotte, Eva (Charlie) McKenzie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Ballantyne (nee McKenzie); his son, James Ballantyne; his parents, Benjiman & Amelia Ballantyne; his sisters, Cora, Elizabeth, Mary, Maggie, Frances; his grandson, Martin Jr. Sewap; his in-laws, George and Betsy (nee Bear) McKenzie. The Wake Service for Solomon will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Stanley Mission, SK; the Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Stanley Mission, SK, Rev. Richard Custer and Bishop Adam Halkett officiating. Interment to follow at Anglican Church Cemetery, in Stanley Mission, SK.
