Residents invited to share wildfire stories as part of university case study

Stories of hardship, perseverance and the true meaning of community are some of the memories La Ronge and area residents are sharing as part of a case study about wildfires.

Public meeting held about possible Eagle Point amalgamation

Representatives from the Town of La Ronge have met the neighboring community of Eagle Point for initial talks regarding the potential for amalgamating. A meeting took place last week featuring city officials and about a dozen homeowners.

La Ronge’s Alex Robertson Public Library is asking tri-community residents to donate video games as part of a new initiative.

Operation Impact resulted in 15 local traffic charges

Fifteen charges were laid as the result of a La Ronge RCMP check stop Oct. 5.

The traffic stop was conducted along Highway 2 in Air Ronge and was part of a national awareness campaign called Operation Impact. In total, La Ronge RCMP detachment commander Staff Sgt. Kyle Watson.....
