Pauline Sanna HRYNENKO (nee Motruk)
August 23, 1942 – November 22, 2017
With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Pauline Hrynenko (nee Motruk) with family by her side after a brief battle with cancer. Pauline was born to Mike and Bernice Motruk on August 23, 1942 in Prince Albert, SK. She was the eldest of 7 children. In July 1968 Pauline married Andrew and moved to the Buckland area. She worked at the Tree Nursery for 20 years until she retired in 2002. Pauline enjoyed gardening, flowers, making cabbage rolls and perogies (where her “baby” got his nickname from) and spending time with her grandkids. She was a part of the Ukrainian Orthodox Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed pinching perogies and talking to the ladies.
Pauline is survived by her children: Maryann; Ron (Monica) and their children: Alexander, Emma and Austin; Andy (Tricia) and their children: Nicolas and Brooklyn; her brothers: Eugene (Phyliss Rebeyka), Terry and Donald; sisters: Helen (Norman) Stroh and Lesia; brother-in-law: John (Elaine) Hrynenko; and sister-in-law: Olga Mihilewicz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Andrew; parents: Mike and Bernice; mother and father-in-law: Mike and Mary; brother: Bohdan; nephew: Morris; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 683 – 3rd Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK with Father Michael Lomaszkiewicz officiating. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations made be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency , 200-4545 Parliament Avenue, Regina, SK, S4W 0G3.
