Oka Crisis focus of special documentary screening in La Ronge

An Indigenous film director is in La Ronge today speaking about the 78 days she spent filming behind police lines during the Mohawk’s struggle with Quebec police and the Canadian Army.

Working with the National Film Board of Canada, Alanis Obomsawin was on her way to work one morning.....

Students in the tri-communities have the opportunity to have their artwork displayed in a public gallery this month.

The artwork, displayed at Mistasinihk Place this month, included pieces by students from La Ronge’s Pre-Cam Elementary School and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Senator Myles Venne School. La Ronge.....

A new book is reminding single mothers to remember the good times with their children and to unwind after a long day.

Pottery guild could soon form in La Ronge

La Ronge’s Bob Polischuk believes there’s enough interest in the tri-community to start a pottery guild.

If the La Ronge Arts Council receives a grant it applied for in the coming months, he’s hopeful the board will consider providing funds to cover start up costs for the club. As.....
