Coronavirus exposure alert for Keethanow Food Supermarket

Nov 10, 2020 | 5:21 PM

The Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority is notifying the public of potential exposure to coronavirus at the Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Keethanow Food Supermarket.

A public service announcement states a person attended the store while likely infectious on Oct. 31 and Nov. 5. It notes while the risk of transmission to the general public is considered low, members of the public who visited the store during the specified dates should self-monitor for symptoms of the coronavirus for 14 days from the last date they visited the store.

Symptoms include fever, cough, breathing difficulties, sore throat, runny nose, chills, diminished sense of smell and body aches. If any symptoms develop, individuals should self-isolate immediately and call the HealthLine at 811 to arrange for an assessment and testing.

The notice adds self-isolation is an important way of preventing coronavirus from spreading in Saskatchewan.
