Another 53 new cases of COVID-19 reported, including 14 in Saskatchewan’s north
The latest update from the provincial government shows 53 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the province includes 14 in the northern zones of Saskatchewan. These additional cases, as well as 40 new recoveries reported, brings the provincial total to 49,039 cases; 48,150 cases recovered and 319 cases currently considered active.
The new cases in Northern Saskatchewan are located in the following zones: Far North West, five; Far North East, three; North West, one; and North Central, five. Seven cases are pending residence information. Two cases were reassigned to the following zones: Regina, one; and South East, one. Seven cases were found to be out-of-province residents and were removed from the following zones: Far North East, one; North West, one; Saskatoon, one; and Regina, four. One case, a Saskatchewan resident tested out-of-province, was added to the Saskatoon zone.
