One man in hospital after shooting in Bell’s Point

One man is recovering after a shooting in Bell’s Point Sunday afternoon.

RCMP said they received the call about an injured man at around 4:20 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the injured man who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police later discovered that three people, dressed in all black, approached the man who was sitting inside a vehicle. A gun was later fired injuring the man, while the three suspects fled.

On Monday RCMP asked residents to avoid an area near Bell’s Point, Jack Bell Place as officers and a SWAT team were on scene as part of an ongoing investigation.
