RCMP search for vehicle involved in Air Ronge hit and run

May 22, 2024 | 3:21 PM

La Ronge RCMP are asking for assistance in locating a vehicle suspected to be involved in a hit and run.

On May 18 at approximately 2:40 a.m., police received a report of an injured male on Highway 2 near the Air Ronge bridge.

Officers immediately responded and located the injured adult male, who was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature.

An investigation determined the male was walking on the highway when he was struck by a northbound vehicle, which did not remain at the scene. Officers have been investigating since.

Investigators believe the vehicle may be a dark-coloured SUV, potentially a Jeep.

If the public has information about this incident, contact La Ronge RCMP at 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
