TSN to broadcast and stream all Tempo games as part of multi-year deal with WNBA
TORONTO — Bell Media was named the Canadian broadcast rights-holder for the WNBA on Tuesday as part of a multi-year agreement that coincides with the Toronto Tempo’s first season in the league.
TSN will broadcast and stream all Tempo games along with additional regular-season games from around the league, the WNBA all-star game, draft, playoffs and finals, the league said in a release.
CTV and Crave will also simulcast select Tempo games throughout the season. Toronto will tip off its regular season on Friday against the Washington Mystics at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
“The momentum around the WNBA in Canada is at an all-time high, and this partnership represents an important step in providing fans in Canada with unprecedented access to their favourite teams and players at a historic time of the first-ever Canadian team in the WNBA,” said WNBA chief growth officer Colie Edison.
