RCMP seek info on recent cabin break-ins

Police are investigating a series of cabin break-ins along Lac La Ronge between April 23-29.  

RCMP report at least 12 cabins were broken into in the Lac La Ronge area including Flatland Island, Freeman Island, and Ewen Bay. Some cabins sustained significant property damage.  

Unknown individual(s) are believed to be traveling by snowmobile, as cabins are only accessible via the lake. Officers have obtained one CCTV image showing an individual leaving on a snowmobile towing a sled. 

Individual(s) are potentially coming and going from La Ronge or Sucker River.  

Police know approximately 18 firearms have been stolen from one cabin, of which four have been recovered so far. Several snowmobiles were also stolen, but all have been recovered.
