Teen seriously injured in Île-à-la-Crosse assault 

Île-à-la-Crosse RCMP are asking the public for information after a teen boy was assaulted in the community on May 30 and seriously injured. 

Officers received a report at about 12:20 p.m. that day that the teen was walking on the north end of Ahenakew Boulevard near Highway 908 when he was approached by a group of individuals on an SUV. 

The group got out of the SUV, chased the teen into the bush, threatened him and assaulted him. He was able to get away, find help and get treatment at the hospital. 

Île-à-la-Crosse RCMP are asking anyone who lives near the north end of Ahenakew Boulevard to check home security cameras, doorbell cameras and dashcams for footage recorded between noon and 1 p.m. on May 30.
