Napatāk Ramble organizers ready for upcoming music festival

Jun 26, 2026 | 1:43 PM

Organizers of the Napatāk Ramble are excited to host the annual musical festival once again after cancelling last year because of wildfires.

“Last year was disappointing for everyone, but canceling was the right decision given what our community was going through,” explained chairperson Jim Burr.

“This year definitely feels special. The majority of the performers we had booked for last year are returning this year, along with some exciting new additions to the lineup. There’s a real sense of excitement from our volunteers, performers, sponsors, and festivalgoers, and we’re looking forward to finally bringing everyone together again.”

Headliners for the Napatāk Ramble, which will be held July 3 and 4 just south of Air Ronge at Potato Lake, are Reuben and the Dark on Friday and Goodnight Sunrise on Saturday. In addition, the festival will include a diverse lineup of musicians from the local region, Saskatchewan and across Canada.

“Supporting Saskatchewan and northern artists has always been a big part of what the Ramble is about,” Burr noted.

“This year’s lineup includes Saskatchewan artists ZHE the Free and Bigtones, Eliza Mary Doyle, Chesterfield, Former Lovers, Sharptail, Cooper Tropeau and the Broken Bones, The Blue Mules, Cupid’s Heart, and Dillon Gaz from Wollaston Lake. We’re also proud to feature performers from the La Ronge area, including Lotus Lavender, poe lacey, Jim MacEachern and Thunderbolt Hope.”

Burr added the Napatāk Ramble is more than just music; it’s also about celebrating Northern Saskatchewan and bringing people together for a weekend filled with local and touring musicians, talented local artisans, activities for kids and families, great food, and the spirit of the community. He said it has become a summer tradition that people look forward to each year, and organizers are proud of the positive impact it has on the area.

“Events like this only happen because a community comes together to make them happen,” Burr remarked.

“Whether you’ve been coming since the beginning or this will be your first Ramble, we can’t wait to welcome [people] to beautiful Potato Lake for a fantastic weekend of music, workshops, arts, community, and Northern Saskatchewan hospitality.”

Ticket sales have been strong and organizers are encouraged by the response. Tickets can be purchased online or at the La Ronge General Store.

Volunteers are also still needed and if anyone is interested in signing up, they can do so at the Napatāk Ramble website or Facebook page.
