RCMP investigating northern shooting, working to locate possible victim

Pinehouse RCMP are investigating a shooting in the province’s North.

On July 26, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Pinehouse RCMP received a report of an injured man in a rural area between Pinehouse and La Ronge. 

Early investigation determined that the occupants of a white truck and the occupants of a grey truck got into a ‘interaction’ on Highway 165. During the interaction, a firearm was discharged, seriously injuring the driver of the white truck. The driver was taken to hospital, where his injuries were said to be non-life-threatening in nature.

Police have determined there may have been a second individual injured in relation to this incident and are working to locate them to confirm their well-being.
