Pelican Narrows RCMP lay charges after gun, alcohol found in crashed vehicle
Three women from Pelican Narrows are facing multiple charges after their vehicle went into a ditch and RCMP officers found a loaded handgun and open alcohol inside.
Officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Highway 135 near Pelican Narrows just before 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 10.
The occupants did not report any injuries.
Marcie Ballantyne, 28, Newton Ballantyne, 28, and Safira Linklater, 21, all from Pelican Narrows, are charged with multiple firearms offences and possession of a weapon obtained by crime.
