Why is this extraordinary art collection in rural Saskatchewan?
ST. WALBURG, SASK. — “You know, when we were younger, we hated this place.”
Bert Imhoff said it almost casually. It’s a startling admission, considering where he is standing.
Around him are canvases painted by his grandfather, Count Berthold von Imhoff, a remarkable artist whose work can still be found on the walls of churches across Saskatchewan and North America.
