Robinson promoted to principal at Gordon Denny
Tammy Robinson is the new principal at Air Ronge’s Gordon Denny Community School.
Her promotion comes after Marlina Ballantyne left the role for a teaching position with the Northern Saskatchewan Indigenous Teacher Education Program. Robinson had been the vice-principal at Gordon Denny since 2021.
“It’s been wonderful. I am very excited to be in this role,” she explained.
“I am very excited to work with the staff. Rather than working with just one classroom, I have been teaching Cree for the last two years. I’ve also been supporting some of the other teachers with student mentorship, as well as helping out with interventions. I have been doing that for three years when I started here.”
