Ice roads start opening in northern Sask.
Ice roads are beginning to open for the season in northern Saskatchewan.
Two major ice roads opened in the province’s Far North last week including from Shasko Bay to Fond du Lac, as well as Fond du Lac to Uranium City. Weight restriction on both ice roads allow up to 15,422 kilograms.
Other ice roads yet to open for the season is the one to Wollaston Lake along the Riverhurst Crossing.
The two ice roads that have opened did so much earlier than in 2021. Last year, both roads didn’t open to light traffic until the beginning of February.
