Increased police presence as La Ronge RCMP investigate weapon-related incident

La Ronge RCMP are currently investigating a report of an assault with a weapon, which is believed to have occurred earlier Wednesday morning at approximately 8 a.m.
That’s according to an RCMP spokesperson, who stated officers have secured a residence in the community to ensure safety is maintained within the vicinity.
“Preliminary investigation indicate the individuals involved are known to each other,” she said.
“There is nobody in custody yet. Police are thankful for residents in the community who are following instruction for safety and for providing police the space required to investigate this matter.”
