Warrant issued for third suspect in P.A. shooting leading to emergency alert

Saskatchewan RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for a third suspect in the carjacking and shooting north of Prince Albert last week.

The RCMP GIS section said charges have been laid against 27-year-old Dallas Fulton of Prince Albert. The public is being warned to not approach Fulton as he may be armed and is considered extremely dangerous.

His charges include aggravated assault, robbery with a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, unlawfully causing bodily harm, and multiple other gun-related charges.

Fulton is about 120 pounds, 5’5″ tall with brown eyes and black hair with a tattoo of a sad face on his right hand and a tattoo of a happy face on his left hand.

He has connections to Prince Albert and may be in the city, or in Rosthern or Duck Lake as he is believed to have connections there as well.

Fulton was charged previously in an shooting incident in Prince Albert and was convicted of an assault at the Prince Albert Correctional Centre in 2020.

RCMP have also added two charges to a similar list against 33-year-old Angus Heathen, also of Prince Albert.

Those include possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order and failing to comply with a probation order.

Melissa McCallum, 18, is in custody along with Heathen and faces similar charges of aggravated assault with a weapon and more.

The whereabouts of the fourth possible suspect were not included in the RCMP update issued on Oct. 31.

Most recently, police were looking for two males who had fled a stolen white pick-up that crashed into a rock truck on Highway 123, over 200 kilometres north east. That highway is the only road access to Cumberland House.

An outfitter who owns Thunder Rapids Lodge near where the four suspects fled their stolen vehicle and ran into the bush said there are cabins in that area and it was possible to find shelter.

Heathen and McCallum were arrested after being spotted walking along the riverbank by the Saskatoon Police Services’ airplane.

The manhunt started on October 24 when Orlan Peterson, a 66-year-old construction supervisor, was working on the White Star Road about 20 kilometres north of Prince Albert. Peterson was approached by several suspects wearing balaclavas and who had weapons.

They took his vehicle keys and his cell phone, and shot him with a shotgun leaving him for dead. Peterson waited until he was sure they had left before walking for help. He remains in hospital in Saskatoon with serious injuries.

A GoFundMe set up to help him as he recovers has just topped $121,000.
