‘There was no breaking him’: Prince Albert remembers Pte. Shaun Farrell
With a Canadian flag draped over his casket and his green beret resting gently on a black pillow, Pte. Shaun Farrell was remembered Wednesday as a determined soldier, a loyal friend and a young man who pursued his dream of serving his country.
Hundreds of people filled the Prince Albert Armoury for the funeral of Farrell, one of four soldiers killed during a training exercise at CFB Wainwright.

The service was closed to media at the family’s request, but was livestreamed. Red and green berets dotted the gathering as Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, police and other emergency responders joined family and friends to say goodbye.
