One dead, three in serious condition following single-vehicle collision near La Ronge

One person is dead following a fatal motor vehicle accident about two kilometers south of La Ronge.

According to an RCMP news release, police responded to a single-vehicle collision at aproximately 3:30 a.m. this morning along Highway 2. Upon arrival, officers determined a northbound Toyota Tundra left the roadway.....

Impaired driving charges after fatal collision in Grandmother's Bay

Charges have been laid in relation to a fatal pedestrian collision in Grandmother’s Bay last weekend.

According to an RCMP news release, 43-year-old Lewis Roberts of Grandmother’s Bay was arrested Oct. 10 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, failure to stop at the scene.....

Bad weather results in poor wild rice harvest

It’s wasn’t a good season for wild rice producers in northern Saskatchewan who weren’t able to harvest crops due to bad weather conditions.

“The wild rice was there, but people weren’t able to harvest it because of the weather and high winds,” Northern Lights Food owner Jean Poirier said......
