Man arrested in relation to Sucker River shooting

Police have located and arrested a man involved in a firearms incident earlier this week in Sucker River.  

Garry Roberts, 34, of the La Ronge area has been charged with flight from a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, and multiple firearms-related offenses.  

The charges stem from a shooting in Sucker River on Sept. 7, where Roberts and a woman are accused of firing at a vehicle and then later fleeing from RCMP.  

Amanda Venne, 36, from the La Ronge area was also charged and both individuals appeared in court on Sept. 10.
